Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Permanent Color Touch Up.
Most clients return every 4–8 weeks depending on hair growth, color contrast, and desired maintenance. Fine or fast-growing hair may need more frequent touch-ups, while low-contrast colors can stretch longer. Your stylist will recommend the ideal schedule for your look.
No — touch-ups focus on roots and overall tone rather than cutting length. We apply color from root-to-end to refresh shade, and can combine with a trim only if requested. Tell your stylist about desired length adjustments before service.
We assess hair condition before applying permanent color; repairs or a gentler formula may be recommended. If hair is overly porous or damaged, treatments or bonding services can be suggested prior to full touch-up to protect integrity.
Touch-ups are primarily for root coverage and refreshing shade, not dramatic color changes. Small adjustments or tonal shifts are possible, but significant lightening or complex color changes require a full color service and consultation to achieve safely.
Appointments typically last 45–90 minutes depending on hair length, density, and the extent of root-to-end coverage. We aim for efficiency without rushing to ensure precise application and flawless blending. Exact timing is confirmed at booking.
Arrive with clean, dry hair free of heavy styling products. Bring photos or notes about your preferred shade. Inform your stylist of recent chemical services, allergies, or sensitivities for a tailored and safe color application.
