Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Shoeshine Highlights (Very Short Pixies Only).
Absolutely. Shoeshine highlights are tailored for very short pixies using precise placement to brighten and define layers without overpowering the shape. Your stylist assesses hair density, color history, and face shape to create subtle, flattering contrast and maintain easy styling.
Expect about 45 to 75 minutes, depending on hair texture and target brightness. Very short pixies are faster than longer styles, but we allow time for precise placement, toner, conditioning, and bond rebuilder application for healthy, polished results.
Minimal when done professionally. We use controlled lightening, toning, and a bond-rebuilding treatment to strengthen strands. The included conditioner and in-salon bond rebuilder reduce breakage risk. We also recommend gentle home care between appointments to maintain integrity.
On very short pixies, highlights can look fresh for six to ten weeks depending on growth and contrast. Toner may fade sooner; we suggest touch-ups every six to eight weeks and color-safe products to prolong vibrancy and protect tone.
Yes — every service begins with a consultation to choose tone, amount, and placement that flatters your skin and style. We can deliver subtle brightness or higher contrast while keeping the cut’s proportions balanced and cohesive.
Use sulfate-free shampoo, color-safe conditioner, and a bond-preserving treatment as directed. Limit heat styling, apply UV protection, and schedule toner refreshes. Follow your stylist’s product recommendations to maintain shine, tone, and hair health between visits.
