Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Bliss Curls (Short Hair).
Typically 3–5 days of defined shape without sleeping protection, and up to 7 days with careful sleep care, minimal washing, and occasional touch-ups. Longevity depends on hair texture, product use, and your evening routine; short hair often keeps waves well with proper maintenance.
Yes—often safe. We assess hair condition and previous chemical services before styling. Some fragile or freshly processed hair may require a bonding treatment or gentler techniques to prevent damage while achieving waves and curls. Consultation ensures best method and timing.
Plan for 45–75 minutes, depending on hair thickness and chosen finish. Short hair styles are efficient, but consultations, precision finger waves, and product setting require focused time. We’ll advise exact timing when you book or during your pre-appointment consultation.
We use lightweight mousses, setting lotions, heat protectants, and flexible-hold sprays paired with combs, clips, and low-heat wands or finger-wave techniques. Products chosen for short hair add texture without weight and protect hair integrity while ensuring long-lasting definition.
Overnight wear is possible with protective measures: silk pillowcases, loose head wraps, or setting clips. For sweat-prone activities, avoid sweating into styled hair; heavy perspiration can loosen waves. Bring small product for quick touch-ups after exercise or exposure to humidity.
Use a light misting spray, scrunch with fingertips, or re-shape waves using a comb and small clips. Apply a pea-sized amount of styling cream or serum to tame frizz. Avoid heavy washing; schedule a refresh appointment if significant reset is needed.
