Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Roller Set.
On average Roller Set curls last three to seven days, depending on hair texture, products used, and night care. Proper setting, pins, and a good holding product extend wear; sleeping on a satin pillowcase preserves the shape longer.
Yes. Roller Sets are adaptable to most hair lengths and textures. Your stylist will select roller size and winding technique to suit short, medium, or long hair, adjusting tension for fine or thick hair for flattering results.
Wash and condition hair prior to your appointment unless instructed otherwise; hair should be clean and slightly damp. Avoid heavy oils or silicones that weigh hair down. Mention recent chemical treatments so your stylist can tailor the process.
Yes—gently. Use fingers or a wide-tooth comb to reshape curls, apply a light mist of setting spray, and avoid brushing which causes frizz. For refreshes, use small clip-in rollers or a cool blast from a dryer to reactivate the set.
A typical Roller Set appointment runs about 60-90 minutes, including wash, precise sectioning, rolling, and drying time. Longer hair or intricate curl patterns may require more time, so allow extra for consultations or added services.
Properly done, Roller Sets are low-damage since they rely on setting and minimal heat. Repeated treatments are safe when spaced appropriately and paired with conditioning. Your stylist will assess hair health and recommend protective treatments if needed.
