Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Platinum Toner Touch-Up & Shape Up.
Most clients schedule this touch-up every 4 to 6 weeks to preserve tone and manage regrowth. Frequency depends on your natural pigment, porosity, and how quickly brass appears. Your stylist will recommend a personalized plan based on hair health and goals.
The included bond reconnect is specifically designed to minimize damage by strengthening internal bonds. When applied by a professional, the toner and treatment refresh color while protecting integrity. Regular maintenance and professional care reduce long-term breakage risk.
A bond reconnect is highly recommended for previously lightened hair because it repairs weakened bonds and reduces breakage. It helps maintain strength and elasticity between full blonde services, improving the longevity and overall health of your platinum color.
Appointment time typically ranges from 45 to 90 minutes depending on hair length, density, and the level of shaping required. This includes toner processing, bond reconnect treatment, a precision shape-up, and professional styling to finish.
You may come with clean hair, but avoid heavy oils or deep-conditioning treatments beforehand. Light product or second-day hair is fine. Clean, dry hair helps the stylist assess texture and ensures the toner and bond treatment perform optimally.
Use sulfate-free color-safe products and a purple shampoo as advised to maintain tone. Continue bond-supporting treatments, minimize heat, and use heat protectant when styling. Schedule follow-up touch-ups and consult your stylist for a tailored home care routine.
