Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Ultra Platinum Up-Charge (White, Silver, or Paste).
Typically 3–5 hours depending on starting level, hair density, and previous color. The third lightener application, precise processing, toning, and bond treatments require patience. Your stylist will confirm timing after consultation and a strand test to protect hair integrity.
Yes when performed by an experienced stylist. We evaluate previous color, porosity, and hair health during consultation. Bond-building treatments and controlled processing minimize risk; very compromised hair may need staged sessions to reach ultra-platinum safely.
Many clients achieve ultra-platinum in a single quadruple session, but extremely resistant or heavily pigmented hair may require additional appointments spaced weeks apart. Your stylist will recommend the safest plan based on condition and desired result.
Use sulfate-free purple or silver shampoos, conditioning treatments, and weekly deep masks. Avoid excessive heat and chlorine. Schedule bond-repair treatments and toner refreshes every 4–8 weeks, and follow your stylist's at-home regimen to preserve tone and strength.
Any high-lift service carries risk, but our protocol uses bond-repair, measured processing, and professional products to reduce breakage. Expect some dehydration; consistent maintenance, hydrating treatments, and following stylist guidance significantly reduce long-term damage.
Often yes—the third lightener application plus customized toning allows white, silver, or paste finishes in a single quadruple process. Extremely resistant bases may need toner refreshes or a follow-up session for perfect, long-lasting shade.
